We’re here to not only get you across the finish line, but to get your body healthy, too. By approaching marathon coaching with a long-game mindset, we help you stay injury-free and on the move.

 

With training plans that include regular speed workouts, tempo runs, easy days, and even rest days, the Trail Transformation coaches make training sustainable, fun, and smart.

Marathon Coaching FAQs

Do I have to be fast to have a marathon coach?


No! Trail transformation works with athletes of all ages and abilities. Whether that means you are chasing an Olympic Qualifying time or have a goal to run your first marathon, we tailor the program to you.




Can I train for a marathon even if I’m not fast?


Yes! We have many athletes - who may run shorter or longer distances come to us for marathon coaching. There is no need to be fast to take the first step towards your marathon goal.




What happens if I can’t run my race?


While it’s disappointing if you can run your race, we coach athletes towards a total health mindset. This means that even if you can’t run your race, there is no reason to stop training! We see fitness and an athlete journey as an ongoing thing, not just a one time event.




Do you help with nutrition as well?


Absolutely! At Trail Transformation we want athletes to be healthy, so we offer nutrition coaching - working with a registered dietitian - as an option




Is running a marathon bad for my knees?


We are asked this alot, and the short answer is no. With guidance from the coaches at Trail Transformation - who are also physical therapists - we ensure that your training progresses carefully. We also have built in check points and always encourage athletes to be open and transparent about any niggles or pain that pops up.
