Lacy's AT Adventure
Have you ever dreamed of running through hundreds of miles of solitude in an area seldom ever explore? Well that’s exactly what Trail Transformation Athlete Lacy Shelby did this past month. Lacy covered over 114 miles through some of the toughest terrain on the Appalachian Trail. Her adventure journeyed from the summit of Mount Katahdin to Monson, Maine through the 100 mile wilderness. Carrying a pack weighing 19.6 lbs (without water) she trekked through some gnarly terrain registering 22,841 feet of gain in just 20 hours and 31 minutes of running time… Some of her favorite memories include meeting through hikers as they finished their 2,200 mile journey, and running all different types of terrain. Her only lament was leaving when she was finished… Thanks Lacy, for letting us share in your adventure!
When they’re not programming your running schedule, or treating patients at Dynamic Physiotherapy, you can find Mike and Jake running around the La Crosse Trail Network! They even find a little time to race as well.
October 6th Jake makes his return to the hundred mile distance at the Grindstone 100 in Swoope, West Virginia! Known as the hardest hundred East of the Mississippi, we’re taking bets on this one….The Over/Under bet is 20 hours. Tag us in any Facebook post and share your prediction. One lucky winner will receive a FREE entry into this year's Hixon 25K!
Mike has a couple races coming up as well! He’ll be running the Mines of Spain 100k in Dubuque, Iowa on October 19th and the Tunnel Hill 100 Mile November 10th. Keep an eye on our Facebook pages for contests relating to these races!
